Social and Emotional Support in the Ocean Room

We have a room dedicated to supporting children's mental health and welfare, and social and emotional skills which we call the Ocean Room.

The Ocean Room is a place that children can go to discuss their feelings and learn how to build good relationships. Mrs Gaunt supports those children in this through playing games and completing focused work. We use many different interventions to do this, in particular: Positive Play, Anger Gremlins, Social Stories and Behaviour Box.  We have noticed countless improvements within these sessions, and value them highly.
