Remote Learning

Guidance on accessing remote learning for pupils during school closures.

Where will I access learning?

The primary source for learning activities will be via Google Classroom. This enables staff to update and add to learning opportunities regardless of how long or short the closure is. To access Google Classroom please click on the link:

Each child has a unique user name and password to securely access Google Classroom.

What will be provided?

Daily learning will consist of Maths and English and two foundation learning subjects (Science, French, Topic and PE)

Children are to do the work in their homework books and upload photos of the work to Google Classroom for their teacher to provide feedback.

Please contact the office to arrange further homework books if needed.

What will I do if I do not have access to the Internet?

Please contact the office if you do not have access to the internet or are using limited mobile data.

We have a stock of mobile data sim cards provided by Vodaphone to support online learning.

What if my child has no access to a suitable device?

Please contact the office if your child does not have access to a device, we have been issued with a limited number of laptops by the DfE to loan out to children to support remote learning.

Devices are to be returned when the school reopens to all pupils. Devices will be available for loan if your child needs to self isolate or a bubble needs to isolate.

But I’m not a teacher and I don’t know how to guide my child; what should I do?

Google Classroom will be updated daily with the lesson plan and expectations for that day. If you have any difficulties or wish to speak to your child's teacher please email them for support. (A list of staff email addresses can be found on the contact page)

Will we still get updates?

Yes. Despite the school closure we will be sending out weekly Keeping Connected emails and also School Jotter updates. You will continue to have access to the website and if you need to speak to us, please contact the office on 01773 832895 between 8:30am and 4:45pm.
