OFSTED INSPECTION
We were very proud when in January 2014 the school was graded as "Good" after our inspection. We are now moving towards Outstanding!
BASIC SKILLS AWARD
In Leys Junior School we have commitment to a continuing improvement in the basic skills of the children in this school.
HEALTHY SCHOOLS AWARD
PSHCE is a timetabled session used to discuss issues relating to relationships, citizenship and health. The children have an opportunity to have an input into Pupil Parliament meetings, which are held weekly. We also have school milk available to all children.
ARTS MARK
An Artsmark at any level shows that a school is committed to the wider development of young people and to ensure that every child and young person has the opportunity to experience the richness of the arts.
ECO SCHOOL
Children are the driving force behind Eco-Schools - they lead the eco-committee and help carry out an audit to assess the environment performance of their school. The school has been accredited the Bronze Award.
SCHOOL GAMES AWARD - GOLD
